Nakano Nishi High School has no school uniform, so students can feel free to wear what they want. There are no restrictions for school clothing, as long as the clothes are appropriate for students to study in. However, students cannot wear their gym clothing during class time or while commuting to and from school.

- Students are not permitted to perm or color their hair. In addition, students may not insert extensions into their hair.
- Students are not allowed to have piercings, wear makeup, or have manicures.
- Indoor shoes must be worn inside the school.
Bicycling to school:
- Students who commute to school by bicycle must have bicycle insurance.
- Students must park and lock their bikes at the designated bike parking area.
- Only one student on a bike at one time.
- Students must have a bike light.
- Students may not use their mobile phones, music players, or umbrellas while riding their bikes.
